Executive Bio
Mr. Charles B. Lebovitz has been the Executive Chairman of CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. since November 1993. Mr. Lebovitz formed CBL & Associates, Inc. in 1978. He serves as an Advisory Director at First Tennessee Bank. He served as the President of CBL & Associates Properties Inc. until February 2009 and Chief Executive Officer from November 1993 to January 1, 2010. Mr. Lebovitz served in a similar capacity with CBL's Predecessor. He has been involved in shopping center development since 1961, when he joined his family's development business. In 1970, he became affiliated with Arlen Realty & Development Corp. ('Arlen'), where he served as the President of Arlen's shopping center division. In 1978, Mr. Lebovitz co-founded CBL's Predecessor. He serves as the Chairman of CBL Holdings I, Inc. He served as the Chairman, Vice President (Southern Division) and Trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He serves as the National Vice Chairman of the United Jewish Appeal. Mr. Lebovitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Vanderbilt University.
