Richard A. Zapalac — Senior Vice President of Gas Operations at CenterPoint Energy

Mr. Richard A. Zapalac, also known as Rick, serves as a Senior Vice President of Natural Gas Operations at Centerpoint Energy Resources Corp. Mr. Zapalac serves as the Senior Vice President of Natural Gas Operations at CenterPoint Energy, Inc and served as its served as the Senior Vice President of Gas Operations & Engineering since April 2010. Mr. Zapalac was formerly Regional Vice President of Gas Operations in Texas at CenterPoint Energy, Inc. since August 2000. Mr. Zapalac began his career with the CenterPoint Energy in 1977 as an office manager trainee in Electric Operations. He served as regional vice president of Gas Operations in all of Texas at CenterPoint Energy since November 2006. He serves on the Texas Legislative Conference Advisory Board, is a board member of the Texas Gas Association and is a member of the Southern Gas Association. He has served on the boards of various organizations including the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Corporation, Rosenberg Development Corporation, the Fort Bend Flood Control and Water Supply Corporation. He has served on the Texas Legislative Advisory Board; Board member of Texas Gas Association and is a member of the Southern Gas Association. He has held many positions in the Rosenberg/Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce including President. Mr. Zapalac earned a BBA in Finance/Economics from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1975.
