Asked to all employees at charity: water

  • I would say very difficult. I don’t know how people in office manage it, truthfully. I struggled a bit when I first joined 2 years ago. I’m hoping it’s improved, but I also work remotely so I can’t speak to that exactly.

Asked to all employees at charity: water

  • Very challenged. I would say I’ve never worked harder in a role before. Granted, a lot of that is because I wasn’t the most used to google docs and Macs, but I’m slowly (and surely!) getting the hang of it now ????

  • Pretty good I would say. There is definitely some animosity I would say, but besides that people are usually good about leaving when it’s their time to go, etc.

Asked to all employees at charity: water

  • So much good free stuff in the kitchen! Seriously. Sparkling water, normal water, endless supply of other beverages (I think?) and snacks! So so great. But you definitely gain weight. Also, every Friday we host beer/pizza — a fun time for everyone to gather together and catch up/discuss work projects, etc!

Asked to the Business Development Department at charity: water

  • Oh in this job, I worked hands down way more hours than my previous jobs. It just sort of happens. You don’t leave as early as you think you would because something is always coming up. I would say most days I tried to leave by 7pm.

  • Great! Even though it doesn’t exist, I’m on the Key Relationships team and we all love it (at least I do). Truly. Could not be better! The group dynamic is wonderful, everyone supports each other both personally and professionally, etc.

Asked to the Business Development Department at charity: water

  • There isn’t technically a business development team at the moment. I believe I made it up, If you will, so that I could participate in this study.

Asked to all employees at charity: water

  • To do well, you have to prepare ahead of time. Come in naturally (aka no suit!) and be a tad forthcoming. Otherwise, they will say you don’t have a personality, etc. and it will be awkward. Second thing, please prepare for whom you are meeting! If you meet with the CEO,Scott, be sure to research him ahead of time. He’s also a tough interviewer and thinks/speaks quickly. I recommend also planning to be there all day for your final round of interviews (mine was over 3 separate days, but usually it’s in one Day I believe). Just to help mentally prepare you — it can be somewhat tiring/exhausting, and you have to maintain your best composure the whole time.
