Checkr Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

PTO, and insurance are both good

The pay is good, having flexible time off when needed is very useful.

Review from Engineering Dept

flexibility, remote work, vacations when needed

Review from Engineering Dept

Good equity compensation for strong performance.

Review from Engineering Dept

In addition to a great salary and education budget, I feel the flexible and unlimited PTO policy ensures that any employee can take the time they need to recharge, spend time with their families, or successfully manage their home life in the post-COVID world.

Review from Engineering Dept

Equity, fully paid health benefits. Would like a 401k match though

Review from Marketing Dept

I appreciate the health care offerings and 401k options.

Review from Marketing Dept

Good salary and great company benefits

Review from Engineering Dept

I would say 2 things stand out. Equity and sabbaticals.

Review from Finance Dept

the yearly employee education allowance.

Review from Engineering Dept

Education reimbursement is the best part by far, feeling that I have the leeway to learn literally anything I need for my job

Review from Engineering Dept

Equity, followed by Free insurance.

Review from Finance Dept

Fully covered health insurance and unlimited PTO.

Review from Engineering Dept

We have very comprehensive benefits!

Review from Marketing Dept

Equity that has appreciated rapidly.

Review from Engineering Dept

I like the benefits and perks

Amazing equity package with very real upside

Review from HR Dept

It is well above market

Review from Finance Dept

It feels very well thought out to serve the employee population versus the company

Review from Marketing Dept

Equity upside is quite large and cash is above market.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My pay is under the median amount listed in WorkDay. I also notice that on the schedule of roles (ex: P1,P2,P3) it describes mine as having a low level of responsibility, but I don't feel like I have a low level of responsibility.

Review from Finance Dept

My compensation is below the Workday pay range and I have received no formal communication from the HR team regarding how and when this will be corrected.

Review from Finance Dept

Pet insurance and a salary that meets the mid-market average.

Review from Finance Dept

My pay was adjusted lower as a rehire and currently tackling the workload for 2-3 teams.

Review from Engineering Dept

Compensation and benefits compared to other companies that are full remote is poor. Companies have provided "remote perks" such as annual stipends to improve the home office and other things.

Review from Engineering Dept

Offers are +20K from jobs in the Denver area and sometimes exceed the 200k mark for SREs

Review from Engineering Dept

I don't feel that it's done on purpose but I do feel like I am not considered like other people would be. My onboarding was chaotic, no one remembered my checkrversary , not clear on development. I have been in the office all pandemic as an FTE but no commuter or lunch benefits.

Review from Finance Dept

My comensation is currently below the median range for what I should be making at my level and location (reflected on Workday). I would hope for this to be updated.

Review from Finance Dept

I'm on the low end of the compensation range from a salary perspective, but also feel that my level (Director) is also inadequately comp'd from an RSU allotment as well.

Review from Marketing Dept

401k match Slightly better pay Cell phone stipend

Review from Operations Dept

Based on the market rate for my role, I am not within 25k of the minimum band. In comparison to others at Checkr. compensation is not consistent department by department. Older Checkrs dont feel valued based on new hires coming in

Review from Finance Dept

Comparing with market rates for similar roles/companies.

I don't feel like we do the best job recognizing and appreciating employees. I don't feel there are many opportunities to grow or promotions for a job well done.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I feel like in the role I am in and the work I do is underpaid.

I do not feel undervalued

Review from Operations Dept

Paid comparably to coworkers and to see a bump in base for lack of equity refresh.
