
While in other departments their work schedules are pretty flexible and they are allowed to work from home almost anytime, in our department, it is very strict. Very little consideration at all in terms of work hours and vacation.
Depends on the department's business needs and your position and job requirements. If your role (i.e. Administrative Assistant) requires duties that can only be performed in the office, there wouldn't be an opportunity to work from home.
It is pretty standard 9 hour day, but can be flexible if needed with good reason.
My role is not as flexible as others.
