Mr. Mark D. Chandler has been Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President of Legal Services of Cisco Systems, Inc. since May 2012 and February 2006 respectively and its General Counsel since October 2001. Mr. Chandler served as Vice President of Legal Services of Cisco Systems, Inc. since October 2001 and its Secretary from May 2003 to November 21, 2015. He served as Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems, Inc. since February 2006. He joined Cisco in July 1996, upon Cisco's acquisition of StrataCom, Inc., where he served as General Counsel. He served as Cisco's Managing Attorney for Europe, the Middle East and Africa from December 1996 until June 1999; as Director of Worldwide Legal Operations from June 1999 until February 2001 and was promoted to Vice President of Worldwide Legal Services in February 2001. Before joining StrataCom, Mr. Chandler served as Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel of Maxtor Corporation from 1988 to 1994. He is also Member of the Board of Directors of Lytton Gardens Senior Communities in Palo Alto, California, the Board of Visitors of Stanford Law School, the Board of Trustees of Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Massachusetts and the Advisory Council of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington. He previously served as Member and Chairman of the City of Palo Alto Planning Commission. Mr. Chandler received a bachelor's degree in 1978 from Harvard College and a doctor of jurisprudence from Stanford Law School in 1981.
