Mr. Ravi Chandrasekaran, also known as Chandra has been Senior Vice President of Enterprise Networking Business at Cisco Systems, Inc since November 2, 2017 and served as its Senior Vice President of Core Software Group until November 2, 2017. Mr. Chandrasekaran is responsible for all core software platform development across Cisco's switching, routing, optical, cable, wireless and network services portfolio for the service provider, data center and enterprise markets. He served as Senior Vice President of Software - Enterprise Networking Group at Cisco Systems, Inc. was responsible for the development of systems architecture and software across Cisco's enterprise routing, switching, mobility (wireless LAN), and services portfolios. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Services Routing Group, responsible for the delivery of Cisco's flagship WAN edge router series (ISR, ASR and CSR), as well as WAN optimization platforms. From 2005 to 2010, he was Cofounder and Vice President of Products at Apigee, which provides API technology and services for the enterprise and developers. There he led the definition and delivery of the ServiceNet API gateway products, which provide visibility and control for APIs on a massive scale. From 1999 to 2005, he was Senior Vice President of Engineering at Redback Networks, responsible for research and development, where he also architected the software for the SmartEdge Service Gateway.
