Mr. Richard Palmer serves as Senior Vice President of Access Routing Technology Group Group at Cisco Systems, Inc. He is responsible for Cisco's enterprise VPN and security solutions, which include the Cisco PIX Firewall, Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator, the intrusion detection family, and Cisco 7100 Series VPN Router family. Joining Cisco in 1994, Mr. Palmer was responsible for marketing Cisco's high-end routing product line, overseeing introductions of the Cisco 7500, 7200, and 12000 Series of routers. He was also instrumental in Cisco's NetFlow, tag switching, and IP QoS solution initiatives. Mr. Palmer served as Vice President and General Manager of Cisco VPN and Security Business Unit a holding company of Twingo Systems Inc. Mr. Palmer has over 20 years of experience in the networking industry and has held senior marketing positions with Kalpana Inc., and Adaptive Corporation (an N.E.T. Company). Mr. Palmer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
