Mr. Todd Nightingale has been Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Meraki of Cisco Systems, Inc. since March 2, 2017. Mr. Nightingale has over 15 years of experience leading technology groups in networking and wireless. He joined Cisco with the Meraki acquisition in 2012. He served as Vice President of Strategy & Systems Architecture at Meraki, LLC (a/k/a Meraki, Inc.). Prior to Meraki, he was General Manager for Motorola AirDefense Solutions, where he was responsible for technology, strategy and day-to-day operations. Prior to AirDefense's successful acquisition by Motorola, Mr. Nightingale served as Vice President for Engineering of Airdefense, Inc. Prior to joining AirDefense, he served as Director of Software Engineering at Engim Inc. where he architected and implemented a full multi-channel 802.11 MAC responsible for layer two security, quality of service, power-save functionality and roaming capabilities. He lead a team developing embedded and application software products including network infrastructure, spectrum analysis, 802.11 monitoring and manufacturing applications. Prior to Engim he held a variety of research, development and teaching positions at MIT's Laboratory for Computer Science, MIT's Media Lab., Motorola and ArsDigita Inc. His research has focused on layer two and three networking protocols including congestion control mechanisms and media access control (MAC). He received his S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and MEng in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering also from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
