Ms. Barbara S. Cottam serves as an Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. Ms. Cottam has corporate-wide responsibility for directing media and public relations, corporate giving, government affairs, internal communications and marketing sponsorships at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. Ms. Cottam served as Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Affairs at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. Ms. Cottam joined Citizens in 1994 as Director of Public Affairs after 12 years in senior policy and communications positions in state and municipal government in Rhode Island. She served as Director of Communications and Press Secretary to Gov. Bruce Sundlun from 1991 to 1994. Ms. Cottam chairs the Providence College President's Council and serves as a Member of the strategic planning committee of the board of trustees. She served as Vice Chairperson of Home & Hospice Care Of Rhode Island and serves as its Director. Ms. Cottam serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at the RI Zoological Society. She served as a Founding Member of the board of directors of Rhode Island Kids Count for 10 years. She has been a Guest Lecturer on media, marketing and government. A graduate of Providence College, Ms. Cottam received a Bachelor Of Science degree, double majoring in Business Marketing and Business Management.
