I enjoy my job ad a cashier but they need to pay employees better. The pay is extremely low

What do you like best about the leadership team?
I have never met upper management but my store manager cares about his employees
Their motto to help- one team one fight
I'm able to work at a comfortable pace.
Since the takeover, it seems the new store manager tries better to show care for all of their employees
They all help any way they can

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Grocery stores typically pay higher than $12 per hour and provide full-time hours No company, in my opinion, should ever have employees depending on food stamps, especially a grocery store
The lack of empathy towards employees in general, and again toxic attitudes from manager of store
They keep you just under full timbe by hours that way theu dont have to pay you benefits
What are some of the best things about your team?
Work together well and happy disposition
Friendly, welcoming and helpful. I felt included from day 1
We are all like family
Some members of my team should not be apart of the team if they can not do their job whenever they come in to work. Some come in to work and do what they are supposed to, when others do not.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Cant its executive & down is all the care about
only the mangers need improvement not effectively communicating, playing favorites, sexual advances on coworker taking problem in their own life or past out on you. the list is so long i need to write a full paper.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is happy and has a smile
Our manager greets every employee by name and is always smiling. He sets the tone for everyone else
My own interaction with my customers
Nothing at all and customers for the most part are rude and quite disrespectful
The music keeps good vibes and at times we cheer up those who seem to be having a bad day and I make it a point to try and make everyone smile before leaving the store
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
More diversity would be nice
No targeting certain employees, mean mugging them, being rude and spreading rumors

New manage new boss new higher ups that care about the everyday employee not about their salaries & bonuses
mangers need to be under strict supervision because they believe that they have become indisposibe to the company
People that want to work not socialize all the time.

It wasn't a traditional interview. We chatted about real life. Their was genuine laughter. It was very comfortable

Interview EVERYONE not just hire people because they have relatives that work at the stores interview fairly don't just hire because you need bodies and then CUT HOURS of employees you have working and have worked for months
Be honest and tell them everything about working for a corporate store

When we are sufficiently staffed on the front end to quickly serve the guests
