Curriculum Associates Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Flexible time off, mental health benefits/programs, chronic pain programs (all covered)

Review from Operations Dept

As a temp employee, I don't really have anything apart from hourly pay. (I think this is pretty standard.) I would, of course, love to change that in the future.

Review from Product Dept

the health coverage is great

Review from Product Dept

Flexibility in vacation and PTO

Review from Customer Success Dept

The salary band is fair and transparent and the bonus.

Review from Product Dept

Competitive pay and unlimited PTO

Review from HR Dept

Health benefits, including modern health

Review from Engineering Dept

Flexible vacation time. Bonuses that matter. Unexpected additional bonuses when the company does something really well, which I talked about in a previous answer.

Review from Operations Dept

Great benefits, unlimited PTO and nice 401k matching

Review from Product Dept

The medical benefits are great and the bonus structure is competitive.

Review from Product Dept

Flex spending for health and the rest of the benefits package.

Review from Product Dept

I feel valued and am compensated accordingly.

Review from Sales Dept

Great health care and flexible time off.

Review from Product Dept

I feel that the insurance and pay is at a fair level for the company

Review from Engineering Dept

Salary is respectable, fairly typical bonus structure

Review from Engineering Dept

fantastic health insurance with no deductible

Review from Product Dept

Company provides 401K with matching

Review from IT Dept

The benefits are amazing. Way better than any I've ever had anywhere else. There are also constant audits on pay to make sure everyone is paid fairly.

Review from Engineering Dept

It's fair, and they find ways to recognize & reward above and beyond our annual bonus

Review from Product Dept

It's a small thing, but a family member needed therapy and we were having a lot of trouble finding a good therapist who wasn't booked out for months. The new Modern Health benefit got a quality therapist quickly, and has been a wonderful help.

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Workload is absurd and my department, while essential, is undervalued as a whole.

Review from Product Dept

I don't think upper leadership sees all the value our team brings in and could be compensated a bit more fairly.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel as though I'm being underpaid based on my market research

Review from Engineering Dept

Higher salary. Being paid for the benefits not taken (IE, I save CA thousands by not using their health insurance - other companies would split that with me). Geography factors into salary goes again basic "equal work for equal pay" from civil rights movement. Even worse for non-US employees.

Review from Engineering Dept

CA is not nearly the most competitive employer in the Massachusetts market, and roles are paid significantly different based on how their "value" is perceived rather than work output

Review from Marketing Dept

We are at a tech company, and our salaries do not align with other tech companies in the greater Boston area.

Review from Operations Dept

Not comparable to industry standard.

Review from Engineering Dept

I know I am underpaid across industry for what I do. Pay increases feel warranted but I understand company is in a unique position post layoffs.

Review from Product Dept

Pay for my educational experience does not exist. I assume I get the same pay as someone with only a Bachelor

Review from Product Dept

Pay transparency and more opportunities for yearly raises. The bonus compensation shared during hiring painted an unrealistic view of what was actually achievable.

Review from Customer Success Dept

I see other companies and offers for similar roles at substantially higher pay.

Review from Engineering Dept

Since the layoffs, I have been doing the work of three and a half people. I feel as if we should be fairly compensated for the work we are performing and now that I am performing more, I feel I should be compensated for the work.

Review from HR Dept

I feel compensation should be more focused on output (AKA value to the company) than time.

Review from Engineering Dept

I know that other tech companies in my region pay significantly higher for my role than I currently receive at CA. I stay at CA despite this because the benefits work well for me, and the culture is mostly good and very flexible. A more competitive salary would likely keep me at CA long term.

Review from Design Dept

It often feels hard to keep your compensation at current industry levels, which makes talent look outside CA instead of staying internal. Additionally, while CA has become a remote company in many aspects, the benefits haven't reflected it. Would like to see tech budgets and internet assistance

Review from Customer Support Dept

It's impossible to answer without pay transparency, once CA implements that I can give a fair response.

Review from Product Dept

Give me the promotion I deserve.

Review from Sales Dept

At least stay on par with inflation for raises. Difference in salary pay increase between "achieving at high standard" and "excelling" is .5%, that is not laughable but sad and not an incentive, at all. Compare those in engineering's roles to tech industry as a whole, not just Ed Tech.

Review from Engineering Dept

For there to be more transparency around salary and more equity among colleagues who have the same qualifications and experience. Instead, compensation is shrouded in secrecy.

Review from Customer Success Dept

I feel like my education experience was not taken into consideration. I feel like my colleagues that are paid more.
