William R. White III — Senior VP & Treasurer at Darden Restaurants

Mr. William R. White III, also known as Bill, has been Senior Vice President of Darden Restaurants, Inc. since August 10, 2016 and has been its Treasurer since May 2005. Mr. White oversees treasury, international franchising, risk management and capital discipline at Darden. He is responsible for overseeing Darden's treasury and risk management functions and other key strategies geared towards ensuring the maximization of darden shareholder value and has also served as the management lead for several of Darden's most significant strategic transactions, including its acquisition of the yard house concept in 2012 and its divestiture of its red lobster concept in 2014. He served as the President and Treasurer of Four Corners Property Trust, Inc. Mr. White joined Darden Restaurants, Inc. in 1989 as a Senior Financial Analyst and held positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Marketing Analysis for Red Lobster. In 1995, he was promoted to Assistant Treasurer for Darden. Four years later, he was named Vice President of Darden Restaurants, Inc., with responsibilities for managing Darden's short and long-term financing needs, cash management activities, banking and investment banking relationships, hedging processes and other key strategies geared towards ensuring the maximization of shareholder value, including acquisitions. Prior to joining Darden, Mr. White worked at Arthur Anderson & Co., where he was a Senior Auditor. He serves as Director at Florida S.E. Inc. Mr. White served as a Director of Four Corners Property Trust, Inc. since 2015. He is a national and regional board member of Canine Companions for Independence. Mr. White holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago booth school of business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Spring Hill College. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
