Mr. Rob Coupland has been Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Digital Realty Trust Inc. since October 01, 2016. Mr. Coupland is responsible for Digital Realty's operations in the region. Mr. Coupland served as Chief Executive Officer of Telecity Group plc. Mr. Coupland served as Chief Operating Officer of Telecity Group plc since 2008 and served as its Managing Director of UK since 2013. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Coupland established a data center expansion program that doubled capacity from 2008 to 2012. He also led the efforts to acquire and integrate a number of businesses, including transactions in Ireland, Manchester, and Helsinki. He was responsible for the operational aspects of the business, including overall management and delivery of the new build programme, systems strategy and business development. He served as Strategic Product Director of Telecity Group plc. Prior to joining TelecityGroup in early 2007, he served as the Head of Product Marketing for NTL Business where he was responsible for the entire business services portfolio. Before joining NTL, he spent 12 years at Cable & Wireless in senior product management roles with a particular focus on business networks, hosting and convergence markets. Over the course of his more than 20 years in the telecommunications and technology sectors, Mr. Coupland has spearheaded several critical growth initiatives. He serves on the Data Centre Alliance Board of Governors and the Tech UK Data Centre Council.
