Mr. Philip R. Hagerman, also known as Phil, R.Ph., co-founded Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc. in 1975. Mr. Hagerman served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc. since 1991 until January 5, 2018 and served as its President from 1990 to June 2012. Mr. Hagerman started Diplomat Pharmacy in 1990 and immersed himself in all areas of the business. He served as president of the Genesee County Pharmacy Association and served on numerous state and local committees. He has been a regular speaker at state and national pharmacy and hospice conferences on practicing creative pharmacy; and developing and marketing a specialty pharmacy practice. Mr. Hagerman was a consultant for the United States Department of Justice and served as an expert witness in cases of drug diversion. He is an adjunct instructor of Clinical Pharmacy for Ferris State University. He has been a Director at Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc. since 1991 and has been its Chairman Emeritus since January 5, 2018. Mr. Hagerman was chosen as Pharmacist of the Month by Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), a national network of over 1000 specialty pharmacies. He received the Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award from the Michigan Pharmacists Association and the Blue Chip Award for Outstanding Business Practices from the United States Chamber of Commerce. He is a 1975 graduate of Ferris State University.
