What do you like best about the leadership team?
They have grown the business, we are well respected in our field.
Our leadership team is diverse and absolutely dedicated to the important work we do. They also understand that treating employees well translates into employees treating our clients well.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Need to be better organized. Their are people at the work place who have been at the working site for up to 6 months, and still does not have their employee ID badges.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Compensation is always considered but DLH understands that when we get compensation right, there are bigger factors to retaining employees. Culture can be as compelling as compensation for employees.
Do not have to pay for health insurance out of pocket.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Better benefits, especially PTO. No separate sick bank, which is important during covid times. Traditional holidays have been taken away in favor of pseudo holidays like Juneteenth. Would like a stipend for home office / technology.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some are extremely qualified for their jobs. They contribute a lot to our success. Most are very polite and friendly, willing to help others.
I work remotely and my team maintains great contact with me. Everyone is friendly and focused on the success of the team rather than individual gain.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Flexibility to work at home; commitment to training/learning
I have not encountered too many actively disengaged employees who are working to recruit detractors and naysayers. The ones I've met seem to realize they are outnumbered and they are self-aware enough to tamp down their negativity as a result.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Management needs to take better care of the employees, provide ID badges in accurate times, need to have a scheduler, in order us to have a workday schedule.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Was very friendly, conversational. However, recruiter gave me an incorrect answer when I asked if I could negotiate more PTO.
My recruiter made me feel supported in every step of the interview process. She was outstanding!

Collaborating with others, productive days, completing a large or complex task
Supporting those who are serving humanity through scientific research, health and human services auditing, and prescription medications for veterans is a constant joy.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
provide work schedule to employees, provide ID badges, and let employee know when there's a policy change.
