Executive Bio

Mr. Doug Darrow serves as Senior Vice President of Cinema Business Group at Dolby Laboratories, Inc. Mr. Darrow served as the Chief Executive Officer of Laser Light Engines, Inc. since October 2009 and also served as its President. He served as the General Manager of Texas Instruments' DLP Cinema(R) Division. Prior to Laser Light Engines, he spent 24 years with Texas Instruments. Most recently, he led all marketing for the division at DLP Cinema(R) Products Division, as well as its effort to develop break-though solutions for Digital Cinema. He also oversaw the development and marketing of DLP Cinema technology. He played a key role in changing the entertainment industry, driving digital movie distribution and transitioning the theatrical industry away from its 100-year old film format. A leading expert on the future of movie distribution and 3D, he has been a featured panel Member of CES 2009, a keynote speaker at 2008's ShoWest and a recipient of that event's Digital Cinema Pioneer Award. Mr. Darrow is a graduate of the University of Rochester and received an MBA degree from the University of Dallas.
