From what I hear. PMDI is growing now. From what I see. Versene has been slowing down.
What's the interview process like at Dow Chemical?
Not sure. Some of the people who are coming in now are only wanting to politic to their next job and not do the one they have been hired to do. They get their foot in the door then spend most of their time laying politics. Some of these people I scratch my head and ask who hired this one. I have been with DOW for 10 years and have seen so many that wanted a paycheck but did not want to do their jobs.
What interview questions does Dow Chemical ask?
Depends on who is interviewing. However most of the times they have already chosen the person they want for a job and it is only a game. Many times they have chosen based on buddy system and then others have to force them or teach them their job.
What are you most excited about working at Dow Chemical?
Not exited. Have work some projects of improvement which felt rewarded until others got credit for my work. It is just a paycheck most of the time.
How does Dow Chemical make decisions around promotions?
It is only my opinion but usually based on family and buddy system. Many times I find myself doing their jobs along with mine.
How's the vacation policy at Dow Chemical?
It is relatively fair. Good benefits. When Diagnosed with Afib was allowed to take 2 months off while got medications balanced out.
What would cause you to leave your job at Dow Chemical?
Finding a higher paying job. One which I could better use my two degrees.
How often do raises happen at Dow Chemical?
If progress through tier system and do not get into trouble it is based on development. However some deviations do occur. It also has caps.
How common is it to switch departments or teams at Dow Chemical?
Goes on quite a bit. Myself I am stuck in one place right now. Think t is to keep a balance and simi-professionalism. However not going any ware even with my two degrees.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Dow Chemical?
Some have good time. However are not very professional. Some of the conversations that go on would not even be allowed in the military. I keep my distance from some conversations and personnel at dow due to their childish and unprofessional nature.
How rewarding is your job at Dow Chemical?
Some projects are rewarding to accomplish. However most days are a challenge due to the disorganization and seeing others with less experience and professionalism move up.
How common are layoffs at Dow Chemical?
Most people who leave do it of their own accord. Takes a lot to get fired.
How do you feel about going to work at Dow Chemical everyday?
If I could find a better job with another company I would leave.
How's the feedback proccess at Dow Chemical?
Limited. Couching when first hired on was fair but limited. Really had to do yourself. Now it is none existent for some.

Have a buddy or family member get you in. Then sit around and network while others do the work.
