Mr. Dhiaa M. Jamil has been the Chief Operating Officer of Duke Energy Corporation and Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC since May 3, 201. Mr. Jamil has been Executive Vice President at Duke Energy Corporation and Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC since December 17, 2012. Mr. Jamil served as President of Regulated Generation & Transmission organization since August, 2014 until May 3, 2016. Mr. Jamil is responsible for all power generation in the regulated utilities, including nuclear, fossil and hydro generation; coal ash management; environmental, health and safety; and fuels and system optimization. He has been Executive Vice President and President of Regulated Generation & Transmission at Duke Energy Ohio, Inc since June 2015. He has been an Executive Vice President and President of Regulated Generation & Transmission of Duke Energy Florida, LLC since June 2015. He served as the President of Duke Energy Nuclear at Duke Energy Corporation from March 2013 to August 2014 and also served as its Executive Vice President. Mr. Jamil has overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the largest regulated nuclear generation fleet in the U.S. In addition, he oversees companywide project management and construction and new plant development. He served as the Chief Generation Officer at Duke Energy Indiana, LLC since July 2009 and served as its Group Executive and Chief Nuclear officer. He was responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Duke Energy's three nuclear generating stations - Catawba, McGuire and Oconee nuclear stations. He served as Chief Generation Officer and Chief Nuclear Officer of Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC form July 2009 to June 01, 2012 and from February 2008 to August 2014. He served as Chief Generation officer of Duke Energy Corporation from July 2009 to June 2012. He served as Group Executive and Chief Nuclear Officer at Duke Energy Corp. from February 2008 to December 31, 2012. Mr. Jamil served as Chief Nuclear Officer from February to August 2014 and Group Executive at Duke Energy Ohio, Inc. He has more than 33 years of experience in the energy industry. He served as the Senior Vice President of Nuclear Support at Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC since March 2007. He served as Vice President of Catawba Nuclear Station at Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC since April 2006, upon the merger of Duke Energy and Cinergy. Until the merger of Duke Energy and Cinergy, he served as Vice President of Catawba Nuclear Station at Duke Power from March 2004 to April 2006 and served as Nuclear Station Vice President of Duke Power at Duke Energy from September 2003 to March 2004. Mr. Jamil served as Vice President of McGuire Nuclear Station at Duke Power from September 2002 to September 2003. He joined Duke Power in 1981 as a design engineer in the design engineering department. After a series of promotions at Duke Power, he served as Electrical Systems Engineering Supervisor of Oconee Nuclear Station since 1989 and Electrical Systems Engineering Manager since 1994. He served as Maintenance Superintendent/manager of McGuire Nuclear Station at Duke Power since 1997. He serves as a Director of Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC. He serves as a Director of Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited, Duke Energy Florida, LLC, Piedmont Natural Gas Co. Inc., and Duke Energy Progress, LLC. He served on the board of directors of the York County, S.C., Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the board of directors of the Charlotte Research Institute and serves on an advisory board for the School of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mr. Jamil served as a member of Dominion Energy Management Safety Review Advisory Committee, TVA Nuclear Safety Review Board and Pacific Gas & Electric Nuclear Safety Oversight Committee. He is a member of the INPO Executive Advisory Group, the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) New Plant Oversight Committee and the NEI Nuclear Strategic Issues Advisory Committee Steering Group. He served as a senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has completed a three-year assignment as a member of the Council of the National Academy for Nuclear Training. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina. He serves as a Trustee of The Duke Energy Foundation. He has completed the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations' (INPO) senior nuclear plant management course and received Duke Energy's technical nuclear certification. He completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program and Duke Energy's technical nuclear certification program. Mr. Jamil received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
