He served as the Chief Financial Officer, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of Spectra Energy Capital, LLC (formerly, Duke Capital LLC). Mr. Young served as the Principal Accounting Officer of Duke Energy Ohio, Inc since April 2006. He served as a Vice President of Duke Energy Corp. from June 1, 2005 to December 2006. He served as a Group Vice President of Duke Power Company, a division of Duke Energy Corp. from March 2004 to June 2005 and served as its Chief Financial Officer from February 2003 to June 2005. He served as a Vice President of Rates and Regulatory Affairs for Duke Power from March 1998 to March 2003. Mr. Young joined Duke Power in 1980 as a Financial Assistant. He is a certified public accountant and a certified managerial accountant in North Carolina. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Managerial Accountants and National Association of Accountants. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business. Mr. Young holds Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
