Ash Sawhney ā Head of Enterprise Solutions - EbixExchange at Ebix
Executive Bio
Mr. Ash Sawhney has been Head of Enterprise Solutions of EbixExchange at Ebix Inc since January 2015. Mr. Sawhney is responsible for the business development and delivery of enterprise solutions to carriers and distribution partners. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, he has worked with several leading carrier partners to help them streamline their core operations using state of the art transformational technology solutions. He joined Ebix in 2012 through the acquisition of PlanetSoft, where he was one of the founding partners. At PlanetSoft, he led a team that developed award winning enterprise software solutions for the insurance industry. Prior to EBIX and PlanetSoft, he served as Vice President of International Strategy at State Street Corporation. He was responsible for developing growth strategies for State Street's institutional investment products in the Asia Pacific region, including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Mr. Sawhney also served on the mergers and acquisitions committee of State Street representing the international markets. Prior to State Street, he served as Manager of Strategic Ventures at Sun Life Financial, responsible for finding partnership and acquisition opportunities. He also worked in several other departments within Sun Life, including finance, marketing and operations. Mr. Sawhney has a Bachelors degree in Economics from DAV College Chandigarh, India and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Babson College in Wellesley MA.
