Peter Hirsch — Executive Vice President of Technology & Operations at Ellie Mae

Mr. Peter Hirsch has been an Executive Vice President of Technology & Operations at Ellie Mae, Inc. since June 2015. Mr. Hirsch served as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Valchemy Inc. (formerly MAE Software Inc.). He has more than 30 years of technology experience. Mr. Hirsch has over 18 years of technology development experience and served as the technology leader of both small and large enterprise software companies. Mr. Hirsch served as a Vice President and Chief Architect at Alphablox Software, a pioneer in Web-based analytic servers and tools. Prior to Alphablox, Mr. Hirsch was a Principal Architect and Executive Director of Application Engineering at BroadBand Office, where he led development of Bedrock. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Mr. Hirsch served as a Senior Vice President at Ariba Inc., where he was responsible for its SaaS application suite and global data center infrastructure. Prior to Ariba, Mr. Hirsch spent seven years as a Chief Architect and Business Unit Leader at IBM, where he helped establish IBM's presence in the commercial SaaS application market. Mr. Hirsch began his career in the aerospace industry. Before BBO, Mr. Hirsch served as the Chief Architect for Informix Software, where he conceptualized, designed and developed an advanced data-driven application server and toolset now known as Visionary, which became the foundation for its business intelligence business unit, i.Intelligence. Preceding Informix, he served as a Vice President of Product Development at Visual Numerics. He was the Founder of 3-D Visions, a scientific visualization and data analysis start-up and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Mr. Hirsch holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
