Executive Bio
Mr. Francesco Furci received a bachelor's degree in Sociology from La Sapienza University of Rome. He began his career with the Eni Group in 1973 with ASAP (Associazione Sindacale delle Aziende a Partecipazione Statale, or Association for Union Relations in State-Held Enterprises), where he handled union-related issues for the Eni Group Companies. Mr. Furci then moved to Nuova Samim (the Group's mineral-metallurgy sector), where for the next decade, he was promoted into a series of positions of increasing responsibility within the personnel management area. He was then named General Manager of Resources, Organization, Systems and External Relations. In 1991, he moved back to ASAP as Vice Chairman and General Manager. In November 1992, Mr. Furci was named to the post of Personnel and Organization Group Senior Vice President Eni, a position he held until May 2000, when he was named Vice Chairman AgipPetroli and Chairman Ecofuel. Mr. Furci is on the board of several of the most important flagship companies in the Eni Group (AgipPetroli, Snam, EniChem).
