Luca Bertelli — Chief Exploration Officer at ENI S.p.A.

Mr. Luca Bertelli has been the Chief Exploration Officer of Eni SpA since July 1, 2014. He also serves as the Co-founder and Chairman of Quickwit. At the beginning of 2010, Mr. Bertelli was appointed Executive Vice President of Exploration and Unconventional. He served as a Senior Vice President of Exploration and Unconventional at Eni E&P since 2009. Mr. Bertelli served as a Vice President of Global Exploration at Eni E&P from May 2009 to March 2010. In 2003, he was appointed Managing Director of Eni Indonesia and in 2006. He served as a General Manager and Managing Director of Eni Angola from October 2008 to May 2009. At the end of 2001, his career took a new international turn with roles of increasing managerial complexity over a period of eight years, starting in Norway where he was Technical Director and Deputy Managing Director of Norsk Agip. In 1984, joined Eni's geophysics division where he worked first as a researcher in the development of 3D seismic prospecting technology and subsequently as a manager of 3D seismic prospecting programs and specializing in seismic-stratigraphy. In 1994, he was appointed Manager of seismic-stratigraphy applications and in 1999 expanded the technical-managerial scope of his activities becoming Eni's Manager of geological and geophysical services. He serves as a Director of Eni Norge AS. He served as a Director of Galp Energia SGPS SA from December 2010 to September 1, 2012. He graduated cum laude in geology in 1983 from the University of Florence.
