Executive Bio

Prior to joining Britannica, Doug served as the Assistant General Counsel at Solo Cup Company, a publicly reporting, private-equity owned global entity, during which he assisted with the $1B sale of the company in 2012 and had responsibility for Solo’s global litigation, corporate transactions (including mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures), compliance matters and corporate governance. Previously, Doug worked at the Chicago office of the international law firm Mayer, Brown, where he participated in a sophisticated IP, Litigation and M&A practice. In this capacity, he represented a host of publicly traded and privately held corporations. Doug holds a B.S. in engineering from Boston University College of Engineering and a law degree, summa cum laude, from John Marshall Law School, where he graduated first in his class and was a member of the Law Review
