Mr. Joshua King, also known as Josh, has been Senior Vice President of Global Communications and Corporate Affairs at First Data Corporation since June 2014. Mr. King served as Senior Vice President of Group Marketing & Communications at Willis Group Holdings Public Limited Company (also known as Willis Group Holdings Ltd.) since December 1, 2009. Mr. King led a worldwide function that includes external, internal and executive communications, brand and reputation management, community relations, corporate philanthropy and events at Willis Group Holdings. He served as Vice President of Media and Community Relations at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., since September 25, 2003. He was responsible for leading Hartford's media relations team and its ongoing efforts to support Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.'s branding and communications strategy. Prior to joining The Hartford, Mr. King served as a consultant at the Washington, D.C.-based polling firm of Penn, Schoen & Berland, a member of the WPP Group, where he served a variety of corporate, political and non-profit clients on a range of legislative, communications and image issues. From 1993 to 1997, he served as director of production in the White House office of communications, where he managed key presidential events, both domestically and overseas, and modernized the methods by which the White House projected the president's messages through the media. After leaving the White House, Mr. King joined Monsanto Company as director of international government affairs and, later, served as Vice President of communications at SpeakOut.com, an Internet start-up. He serves as Member of Advisory Committee at Captive Minds Communications Group Limited. With Speak Out, he authored an online political column and was a frequent media commentator on the role of the Internet in politics. He produced a pilot for a dramatic television series set in Washington for Lifetime Television. As a writer and producer, he authored one of the first political blogs, contributed articles to POLITICO Magazine. His articles have appeared in The Washington Post, Brill's Content and Variety. Mr. King received a B.A. degree in Political Science from Swarthmore College and completed the Program for Global Leadership at Harvard Business School.
