The management is just there to micro-manage and create reports for upper management. Very structured format and NO open box thinking.
everything. they mess with employees pay, especially sales people. And the companies they buy like Cardconnect are even worse on all levels
Thinking through, and considering implications of, decisions made that negatively affect the employees that keep the company running. Stop making a lot of major changes too close in timeframe. Go to the correct people to help make those decisions.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensate and bonus based on acual perfrmance and no some vague coporate measurement one would never have any ability to change.

Allow working from home, now.
It won't happen with this company as long as Frank Bisignano and his buddies run the company. When we merged with Fiserv one of them said " I can believe the way First Data treats its employees".....not soon after Frank became CEO ......the original Fiserv people were so disappointed.
Benefits were cut during the pandemic and have never made it all the way back.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They truly interact with each other in support of the product.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Folks at this company have a serious lack of industry knowledge, many need to learn the ropes. Also dont delegate work to others, do it yourselves.
Figure out how to not be so bad.
Share information with coworkers. Unionise.
Immediate co-workers are a good team; better communication for collaborative efforts is always a necessary improvement everywhere.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Allow working from home. The atmosphere in work is poisonous since everyone has been forced back, and dressing it up as 'welcoming back to the office' just makes it worse. It's gaslighting.

Fear factor that jobs will be lost because locations will close. Find more sensible ways to cut costs. Take a more tech approach to the business instead of banking/financial perspectives. Trim the ineffective fat at the top.

Location is closing and there is no communication on the closing and what is happening to people who being let go transitioning there positions to who at this point no one has been hired for that function to transition to.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Authority is misaligned with responsibility.
Everything. Like i said. Everything.
Morale is terrible and everyone hates it here, because we are micromanaged. That bleeds into the work. Sudden layoffs with no warning. It's all about stock price.
Too many office closures. The company is losing ridiculous amounts of tenure due to this. Employees burn out due to system limitations, lack of project support & large workloads. Tired of working 50-60hr/wk consistently & feeling like I'm making no improvements & receiving no recognition of effort.
