Mr. James V. Fakult, also known as Jim, has been the President of Jersey Central Power and Light Company since June 3, 2013. Mr. Fakult served as the President of Maryland Operations at Potomac Edison Company from February 2011 to May 13, 2013. He served as the President of Maryland Operations at FirstEnergy Corp. until May 13, 2013. Mr. Fakult served as General Manager of Regional Operations Support for Ohio Edison at FirstEnergy Corp. since 2008. He joined FirstEnergy Corp. in 1987 as an associate marketing representative. Following a series of marketing-related promotions, he was named Director of Sales, in 1999. In 2001 he was named director of Large Commercial & Industrial Segments and in 2004, he was promoted to Director of Customer Support. Mr. Fakult earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Cleveland State University and a Master's degree in business administration from Ashland University.
