Prior to joining Counterpane, Mr. Harms served as the Director of Finance and Controller for several successful venture-funded technologies companies, including Sentient Networks (acquired by Cisco Systems), Apptitude (acquired by Hi/fn) and Silvan Networks, founded Branders.com, the leading web-based provider of promotional products and served in corporate and divisional financial roles at Hewlett Packard. Mr. Harms has more than 20 years of leadership experience in finance and operations with both fast growing startups and established technology companies. Mr. Harms earned his Certified Public Accountant while at Ernst & Young in San Francisco. He holds an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BS from the University of California Berkeley.
