Dr. Yehezkel Yeshurun, also known as Hezy, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Tel Aviv University Computer Science Department. Dr. Yeshurun Co-founded ForeScout Technologies, Inc. in 2000 and has been its Chairman since April 2004. He serves as a faculty member in the School of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University and his research areas are Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition and Computational Neuroscience. Dr. Yeshurun has co-founded several technology companies including us and TapGuard. He served as the Chief Scientist of Top Image Systems Ltd. since 1989. During the period from 1980 to 1994, Dr. Yeshurun served as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University, the Head of the TAUCC Operating Systems Group, an Associate Research Scientist at the NYU Medical Center for Computational Neuroscience and the Visiting Research Scientist at the Center for Intelligent Machines at McGill University, Canada. Dr. Yeshurun's work has been published in over fifty journals and periodicals. Dr. Yeshurun has over 25 years of technical and management experience. He served as the Chairman of the Board of the Department of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University. He served as a Director of Top Image Systems Ltd. from December 2004 to November, 2008. Dr. Yeshurun served as Local Chair of the 12th International Conference for Pattern Recognition, as Chairman of the Israel Association for Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. and as Chairman of the Israel Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. He authored more than 80 scientific publications. Dr. Yeshurun received his B.Sc., M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University in 1972, 1977 and 1986, respectively.
