Salary based with PTO as an Intern
Stock is nice, and the employer-paid portion of the benefits is very generous.
Comp. is all-around excellent. All employees have equity, which is reflected in how much everyone cares about the company. All the standard stuff (health, vision, etc.), plus premiums paid; lunches; incentives to take a bike/public transit to work; unlimited 3D printing!
Fully covered health, vision and dental for individual employees
Pay is low for the boston area - they are trying to catch up, but it creates inequity. I recently discovered that I was making less than a much more recent hire with significantly less experience on my team. Annual reviews try to address this, but it's incredibly slow.
Compensation is well below average market value and is not re-evaluated frequently enough to keep up with the speed of personal growth.
