Fullscreen, Inc's Frequently Asked Questions page is a central hub where its customers can always go to with their most common questions. These are the 113 most popular questions Fullscreen, Inc receives.
Question 1. I am a U.S. individual or I represent a U.S. company. Do I need to give you my tax information?
Answer.Fullscreen requires all U.S. payees, including non-profit and tax-exempt organizations, to fill out the necessary tax information through our Creator Platform. You will be required to provide your U.S. tax identification number.
- Your nine-digit federal tax identification number is your Social Security Number (SSN),
- Employer Identification Number (EIN), or
- Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN)
Question 2. I am a non-U.S. individual or I represent a non-U.S. company. Do I need to give you my tax information?
Answer. Fullscreen requires all non-U.S. payees to provide valid taxpayer identification information to certify your non-U.S. status by completing IRS Form W-8.
Question 3. What name should I provide on my tax form?
Answer. You should provide the name of the individual or organization that will report the income on an income tax return.
If you are completing the information as an organization, use the name as it appears as follows:
- Trust The name as it appears on the trust deed
- Partnership The name as it appears in the partnership agreement
- Corporation The name as it appears in the certificate of incorporation, or other legal document that formed the corporation
- Other- The name as it appears on the legal document that formed the entity
Note:You are not a “partnership” merely because you are a Partner at Fullscreen.
Question 4. What is a U.S. Tax Identification Number (EIN or SSN)?
Answer. A U.S. Tax Identification Number (TIN) is issued by the IRS and can be a Social Security Number (SSN), Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), or Employer Identification Number (EIN). For U.S. persons, this is typically an SSN (generally for individuals) or EIN (generally for companies). For non-U.S. persons, this may be an ITIN (generally for individuals) or EIN (generally for companies). For more information on tax identification numbers, please consult your tax advisor.
Question 5. What is a Foreign Tax Identification Number (FTIN)?
Answer. A. A foreign tax identification number is issued by your local tax authority and is used for income tax reporting purposes. Canadian individuals, for example, are given a Social Insurance Number. If your local tax authority does not issue an income tax identification number, a U.S. TIN must be provided if you wish to claim a reduced rate of withholding tax under a tax treaty. For individuals claiming treaty benefits, this is an ITIN. For non-individuals claiming treaty benefits, this is an EIN. You can apply for an ITIN or EIN with the IRS.
Question 6. Why does my tax information show as invalid?
Answer. Fullscreen does not have insight into the details about why information is invalid, but here are some common examples:
- Misspelling your name, not including your middle initial or middle name, or entering an incorrect Tax Identification Number (TIN) may cause tax identity information to not match IRS records.
- Use the name and TIN that appear on your Social Security card [SSN], CP565 notice [ITIN], or CP575A notice [EIN], if applicable.
- If you are providing an EIN, use the name that appears on the top line of the address header on your CP575A notice from the IRS if you are providing a business name.
Question 7. How do you determine the rate of withholding tax, if any?
Applicable to non-U.S. Payees only
Answer. The U.S. IRS requires Fullscreen to collect up to 30\% from payments issued to non-U.S. persons who receive certain payments. Please note, this withholding tax is applicable only to US sourced revenue. Any applicable withholding tax will automatically be deducted from your payment(s).
You may be eligible for a reduced rate of U.S. withholding tax under certain circumstances. For example, if your country of permanent residence has an income tax treaty with the U.S. The list of tax treaty countries and applicable rates can be found in IRS Publication 515.

If a video has already received a copyright strike, removing the video willnot remove the strike.
For more on copyright strikes, please visit Copyright Strike Basics in the YouTube Help Center.
View ArticleCopyright strikescan arise for several reasons. If you uploaded content that another publisher owns(such as a video clip or a song clip)without the publisher's permission, they have the right to request that YouTube remove it.
In some cases, YouTube's system will mistakenly remove a video even if you have full rights to it. If you believe you own100\%of the video that was taken down, or if you have written permission to include copyrighted material within the video, you can file a counter notification with YouTube.
Be sure to read the instructionsverycarefully! Filing a false counter notification can cause your YouTube account to be terminated or even result in legal action against you.

Parodyis a specific application of the fair use doctrine that allows people to reuse an original copyrighted work without infringing on the content owner's copyright if they do so in a transformative manner to poke fun at or comment on the original work itself. Like any other instance offair use, you have to applythe four factors. Read the article on fair use.
Several court cases have interpreted and found parodies to be fair use. One of the earliest cases was Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc., which allowed the band 2 Live Crew to use Roy Orbison’s lyrics from the song “Oh, Pretty Woman.” In 1994, the US Supreme Court ultimately ruled in favor of 2 Live Crew since they felt that the band was using the song's lyrics in a way that poked fun at Orbison's original copyrighted work.
However, other court cases have ruledagainstothers who believed their works to be parodies. For example, the toy company GoldieBlox thought they were fairly engaging in parody by using the Beastie Boys' song "Girls" in a viral video ad. But in 2014 GoldieBlox wound up having to pay a settlement to the Beastie Boys and issue a public apology.
How does this matter for YouTubers? If you're doing a parody of an original work, that parody must be "transformative" and either poke fun at the original copyrighted work or offer commentary on it. But as you can see, whether a work constitutes a parody is a very difficult analysis, so you should be careful and thoughtful before assuming that your work would be treated as a parody.
View ArticleCreative Commons (CC) is a public nonprofit organization that seeks to make the sharing of creative material a bit easier. They build off of existing copyright laws by creating available licenses that creators of intellectual property can apply. CC has created several different license types that you can both use and/or apply to content you create.
CC licenses are a fantastic step forward in how copyright laws get applied. They make it simple and clear whether the original content creator is okay with you using their song, picture, or video clip in your own creation. If you find a piece of intellectual property that you’d like to use, and it has a CC license applied to it, just be sure you read the entire license and understand what it allows for.
Some licenses allow you to make money and some don’t. If you need help understanding the provisions allowed by the CC license, pleasevisit the Creative Commons website for reference.
View ArticleOften, the toughest part of being a content creator is coming up with ideas for new videos, especially if you aren’t a regular uploader. One thing common to the top online video creators: their content iscurrent. Whether it’s celebrity talk, big events, or political news, touching on trends is a sure way to grow your channel.
Discovering trends
Unless you’re living under a rock, you’re probably aware of at least a few trends. But to really capture what the rest of the world is tuning in to right now, here are a few places to start.
TWITTER AND FACEBOOK
Both social networks display currently trending topics in the sidebarin some cases you can update it to focus on a specific city, state, or country. Clicking on a trending topic will typically show you the top posts that are being talked about by the users of each network.
“Frozen” text effect
Twitter’s trending topics
Facebook’s tending topics
In most cases, the trends on Facebook and Twitter are updated in real time, focusing on events that are occurring at the very moment you’re logged on. If you’re a spontaneous uploader, creating content around these trends can give you an edge on your fellow YouTubers!
The best place to find out what people are searching for is . . . the place people are searching! Google provides a fantastic service called Trends thathighlights what’s trending now and what was trending in the past. If you don’t come across a currently trending subject that catches your interest, check out what was trending previously. There’s a good chance audiences the world over are still searching for those terms.
Unlike Twitter, Google Trends lets you focus in on the categories you’re interested in to see what’s trending on a more specific level. This is great if you cover niche topics like sports, travel, or science.
Planning ahead
Some trends come out of the blue (like news and current events), but many are predictable! If you want to get your videos as much attention as possible, plan them out around topics that’ll likely trend at some point in the future. For example:
The release of a big movie
The public launch of a hyped video game
The season finale of a hit TV show
A sports championship
An election or other big public event
You could plan any of the above examples in advance and release them when the event occurs. And many websites list out upcoming events! IMDB has a section on movies that are set to be released, and IGN has a similar section for video games.
Putting trends to use
Creating content around topics that are currently trending can drastically boost your search visibility and viewership. Even though these will be highly competitive search terms, with hundreds of thousands of people performing searches on a daily basis, you’re bound to be seen! As with any newly trending topic, the earlier you jump on the bandwagon, the better your content will perform.
DON’T FORGET ABOUT META!
When it’s time to upload your newly created video, make sure you’re including the trending keywords in your title, description, and tags.Including the same keywords in all three locations can greatly heighten the chances that your content will be found. *Special note: Do not listtags in your description field. Doing so can lead to suspension or termination of your channel.
Tackling comebacks
Even if you’ve previously covered a topic, you can bring it back to life later if it makes future news. For example, when I released my Photoshop tutorial on the, it did very well at the beginning, then leveled out, as expected.
But when the Oscars came around, I saw a spike in views due to Frozen’s success. Some of those views came organically through increased search activitybut I also made sure to share the video across social media, knowing that the movie was fresh in people’s minds. Covering topics that have the potential of making a comeback can help keep your viewership strong.
Engage your audience
Talking about trending topics is one thing, but engaging your audience can help grow your channel even further. The more your audience is engaged, the higher the chance your videos will be viewedand the more likely people will subscribe.
One simple way to get people to engage is to ask questions and encourage subscribing.
“What do you think about XYZ? Leave your comments down below!”
“Make sure to subscribe to keep up to date with future content!”
Directing your audience to chime in on a subject is a proven way to boost engagement significantly.
Don’t forget to share!
As with all trending topics, there’s bound to be heavy attention across social media and on forums. When sharing your video, here are a few tips to help drive viewership:
Take note of hashtags. If the topic of your video is trending, include any relevant hashtags in your Tweets and status updates.
Spread out your updates throughout the day.Spamming your followers all at once can annoy them.
Post on forums, but don’t spam. It’s okay to include your video within threads. But keep it relevant to the subject, and limit the number of times you share your content.
Join communities. Many social networks, like Facebook and Google+, have groups or communities dedicated to specific topics. Feel free to join and share your contentbut remember, no one likes a spammer!
View ArticleTop online video creators know that strongmetadatathe information you upload alongside your YouTube videois essential to getting your videos seen and growing your fan base. We’ve already covered titles and descriptions, and now it’s time fortags.
Video tags aren’t as important on YouTube as they’ve been in the past, but they’re still key to your SEO strategy. It’s a good idea to include both short- and long-tailedkeywordsin your tags that focus in on the topic(s) of your videos. Here are a few examples.
Short-tailed:Android, Samsung, Galaxy, Unboxing
Long-tailed:Samsung Galaxy S5, Android Phone, Android 4.3
The order of your tags doesn’t matter! Google and YouTube treat all tags the same.
WHY SO LONG?
With so much new content uploaded to YouTube every day, many of the short-tailed keywords get flooded with results. Including more specific, long-tailed keywords can improve your chances in search results.
Fewer people search for long-tailed key phrases, but those people typically know exactly what they’re looking for. Having your content appear toward the top of those results is usually better than having your content appear farther down in a more general short-tailed search.
BRAINSTORMING
If you’re having trouble thinking up longer keywords, think of how you yourself would perform a Google search on the topic that you’re covering in your video. What search phrases would you type into Google or YouTube?
You can even use Google’s auto-complete feature to your advantage. Just start typing your topic and see what else people are searching for!
Google Keyword Planner
PLANNING OUT YOUR KEYWORDS
If you really want to nail down some successful keywords, consider using the(which requires an AdWords account) to get a sense for which keywords have high competition, and which ones are easier to rank with.
We’ll look at the Keyword Planner in a future post. In the meantime, think about your tagging strategy for your next video upload!
IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL NOTES
Never place tags in the description field of your videos. Doing so can get your channel flagged for violating YouTube's policy against spam and possibly result in termination.
Do not make changes to metadata (like tags) for any existing videos that you find to be performing well. Changing metadata on existing videos will cause YouTube's algorithm to reindex your videos and possibly lose their current rank. Only change metadata on videos that you find to be drastically underperforming (just keep in mind that the changes could result in fewer views in the near term).
View Articles any video creator knows, the first thing YouTube asks you to do when you upload a video is to set a title, description, and tags. We’ve already covered titles and today we’ll cover descriptions, which are key to both engaging viewers and boosting your search rankings.
Yourvideo descriptionshould provide a detailed overview of the video’s contentnot only to help viewers understand what they’ll be watching, but also because it plays a huge role in search engine optimization (SEO).
Once you’ve nailed down a firm keyword or keywords (which should also appear in the title), try to include the keyword at the beginning of the description. For example:
Video title:Samsung Galaxy S5UNBOXING | John’s Tech Reviews
Description:“Today, I’m unboxing theSamsung Galaxy S5to take a look at the latest Android phone on the market. During this video you’ll hear my first impressions on how the phone feels and functions, and we’ll explore some of the changes to Android 4.3, KitKat.”
As you can see in this example, the keywordsSamsung Galaxy S5appear in both the title and the description, and description outlines the contents of the video for both viewers and search engines.
Put the most important parts of your description up front. Do a quick Google search to see how much of a YouTube video’s description is visible, and plan accordingly.
Keep your main keyword(s) as close to the beginning of the description as possible.
Include any other relevant keywords from your video that viewers may also search.
BRANDING YOUR DESCRIPTION
In your description, it’s also a good idea to brand your videos by includinglinksto other places where your viewers can find you around the web. Many viewers will discover your content via sources outside YouTube: your website, Facebook, Twitter, a subscribe link, and so on.
Adding this social media info to your video description will help with SEO, inform your viewers what the video is about, and tell them where they can find further updates. For example:
“Today, I’m unboxing the Samsung Galaxy S5 to take a look at the latest Android phone on the market. During this video you’ll hear my first impressions on how the phone feels and functions, and we’ll explore some of the changes to Android 4.3, KitKat.

DISCLAIMERS:
Editing the descriptions on your existing videos may affect their placement in search engines, resulting in a drop of views for several weeks until the video(s) rank again. So edit carefully!
It’s against YouTube’s terms of service to include misleading information or just blocks/lists of keywords anywhere in your description. This can result in the suspension of your account.
View ArticleWhen uploading to YouTube, your video’stitleis one of the first things a potential viewer will see. Like a great booktitle, your video title needs to intrigue viewers instantly and make them eager to watch.Let’s take a look at a few strong practices to attract viewers and help your video rise to the top in the search engine rankings.
INCLUDE YOUR KEYWORDS!
When thinking up an effective title, keep the subject of your video in mind. Focus onkeywordsand include them in the description and tags as wellthat’ll help with search visibility (which we’ll touch on in upcoming articles).
For example,if creating an unboxing video on theSamsung Galaxy S5, use “Samsung Galaxy S5”as your main titlekeywordand don’t forget to include it in the description and tags too.
KEYWORDS FIRST!
The first few words of your video’s title are the most importantthey tellboth viewersandsearch engines what the video is about.Once you’ve settled on the target keywords, put themvery close to the beginning of your title.
Do:Samsung Galaxy S5 Unboxing | John’s Tech Reviews
Don’t:John’s Tech Reviews | Samsung Galaxy S5 Unboxing
Why is it so important for yourkeywords to come at the beginning of a title? Mostpeople read left to right, so you’ll want the main keywords on the left. Plus, if you have a long title, YouTube may cut off the end of it, leaving the viewer unsure what the video is about.
TO CAPITALIZE OR NOT TO CAPITALIZE?
Some video creators go crazy using all caps in their titles. Though this may certainly attract some viewers’attention, it may annoy others and deter themfrom clicking on the video. If you do want to capitalize the title, consider capitalizing only the key focus words. For example:
Samsung Galaxy S5 UNBOXING | John’s Tech Reviews.
EXCLUSIVE: Samsung Galaxy S5 First Look
PUT IT TO USE
You can apply thesetips to both newandexisting videos. Keep in mindthat if you go back and change the titles of older videos, it may take a few days to update in search resultsand during that time, you may see a temporary drop in views. But with proper titling, you’ll likely see the videos perform much betterin the long run.

View ArticleBelow you will find some common best practices to ensure your videos are optimized for discoverability and to help you convert the maximum number of viewers to actual subscribers of your channel.
Video SEO Tips
Place high volume search terms (things people are looking for that are related to your video) near the beginning of the title. So if someone had a video of Justin Beiber signing autographs, they would want to title it "Justin Beiber Signs Autographs" not "Autograph Signing by Justin Beiber."
Only use tags that are relevant to the content of your video. If YouTube's algorithm detects too many unrelated tags in a video, it can have a detrimental effect on your ad revenue. Also, do not place tags in your description field (doing so can result in a community strike against your channel).
YouTube ranks channels higher that are actively engaged in the community -- so watching a lot of videos, leaving comments, and subscribing to other channels not only prompts others to check out your work, but YouTube's algorithm also sees your higher activity and bumps up your channel's ranking as well. Avoid leaving comments that directly ask others to check out your channel though. Just leave positive feedback on videos you genuinely like. Others will be much more likely to check out yours as a result.
“Sharability” is a quality in videos in which something is done that viewers don’t find elsewhere. Even if you’re not doing something new, do it with some kind of unique take, perspective, or twist that makes it more likely viewers will want to pass the video along to others.
Audience retention (how long someone watches your videos) is the metric YouTube is leaning more heavily on lately when ranking channels. You can access Audience Retention at the video level by clicking on the View More Stats button when viewing one of your vids. You can also find your channel's overall retention rank by clicking the Analytics button and then selecting Audience Engagement. You'll see a list of your most recent vids and individual watch time percentage under that chart. Whatever vids chart highest in watch time, make a note of what you may be doing differently on those and do that more. Continuing to do that over time can also help your earnings.
Use annotations to keep viewers engaged on your channel. Check out YouTube's help page to learn how to use this great feature.
Upload frequently. For best results, at least twice a week. If possible, 3 times a week. We know that's not easy. But "easy" was never part of the deal :)
And last, but by no means least: Make great videos that people want to watch. The rest, as they say, will take care of itself.
View ArticleContent creators are always tweaking the information of their videos (titles, tags, descriptions, and so on). In some cases, you may want to update this information on multiple videos at oncebut editing each one individually can take quite a bit of time. YouTube now allows you to update certain information for multiple videos at once.
From your video manager, select the videos that you want to update by clicking the checkboxes to the left.
If you wish to editallof your videos at once, click the top most checkbox, then chooseSelect all your videos.
When your videos are selected, click on theActionsbutton at the top, then chooseAdvancedto see all the information that can be edited. (If you chose all videos, theAdvancedlist will appear automatically.)
One reason you might want to bulk-update your videos is to add a new tag to all of them. For example, say you analyzed your traffic sources and discovered that viewers were finding your videos after searching for your full name. You might want to add your full name as a tag.
Selecting theTagsoption will give you a few choices: Append, Set to, and Remove.
Append:Adds the new tag to the end of each video's current tags.
Set to:Replaces the current tags with the new ones.
Remove:Removes the entered tag(s) from the selected video(s).
In this case,Appendwill allow you to add your name as a tag to all your videos.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: As a general rule of thumb: If you are happy with a video's current performance, DON'T change anything.Changing metadata (like title, description, and/or tags) can result in lower views if YouTube has already found your video to be of value to viewers.
View ArticleNo!YouTube has very strict guidelines about purchasing views, likes, and subscribers. If YouTube detects any of this activity, they can andwillshut down your account permanently.
Aside from being against YouTube's terms of service, purchasing views, likes, and subscribers adds no benefit to your videos or account. YouTube's new algorithms can detect whether or not a view is originating from a real person. YouTube will discount any views that it determines to be fake, and that can have a negative effect on your search rankings and earnings.

Captions for YouTube
Who’s watching?
In the image above, 72\% of viewers are male, while only 28\% are female. And a good portion of them are within the 4554 age range. You can take away a couple things from those facts alone:
There’s an opportunity to attract more female viewers
There’s an opportunity to attract a younger demographic
The way each content creator would tackle these opportunities will differ. But if your demographics skew heavily one way or another, try to create new content not only appeals to your base but is inviting to the minority audience as well.
Viewers vs. subscribers
On YouTube’s analytics page, the default demographics view shows you your ‘viewers’. Viewers meananyone at allwho's stumbled across your videosnot necessarily people who are subscribed to your channel. Checking the box toShow only subscriber viewscan give you a comparison of who's just viewing vs. who's actually subscribed.
As you can see in the chart above, even fewer of this channel's female viewers are subscribers (vs. just viewers). Interestingly, the age range of subscribers skews younger than the age range of overall viewers.
These observations not only confirm that there’s a strong opportunity to attract more female viewers, but also indicate that the 45- to 54-year-olds who make up the largest group of viewers may not be subscribing to this channel as much as other groups. This information can help inform future videos and calls to action.
Where's your audience?
The location of your viewers will depend a lot on the content you produce and the language it’s spoken in. The top three English-speaking audiences on YouTube are in United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, but viewers can come from all over the world. So how can you increase your reach aside from learning a new language?
Trends and captions! Every country has trends from entertainment to sportsthat its residents find interesting. If you’re looking to capture a bigger audience from a specific region or country, consider creating content that audiences in those places can relate to more closely.
Don’t stop there, though! When you extend your reach into a foreign country, you’re bound to hit a language barrier. Creating foreign-languagecaptionsboosts your video’s ranking in foreign search results, and helps you retain foreign viewers, since it allows them to understand your content better.
Once you've added captions in your primary language, YouTube gives you the option to translate them to additional languages, either automatically, or through a paid translation service.

YouTube is a great content delivery network, but it doesn’t always deliver the content that viewerswantto see. Posting your content on social media networks like Twitter and Facebook can make up for any missed views and potentially help find new subscribers.
In your social post, make sure to cover not only newly released videos butupcoming videostoo.Useyour downtime as an opportunity to hint at the next masterpiece and remind viewers about your release schedule.
Consider starting a website!Having an off-YouTube presence notonly gives users acentralized place to watch your videos, itcan also providea place to offer exclusive content, build up an email list and sell merch.
TEAMING UP

Collabs don’t have to be in person! Many successful collaborations arevirtual. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Shoutoutsare powerful. Many creators collab simply by mentioning another artist who may have helped out or contributed to the video.

View ArticleAs a Fullscreen partner, all of your videos are monetized upon upload.
It's important to keep in mind though that due to the number of videos on YouTube's platform compared to the number of advertising agreements YouTube has in place, not all views will display ads. Online video monetization policies in certain countries can affect ads running as well.
YouTube also does not run ads on restricted content or videoswith misleading or sensitive metadata (such as wording in the title, description, or tags that brands would not want affiliated with their product).
Videos with 3rd party claims also may not run ads, depending on the monetization policy that's set along with the claim.
View ArticleThere’s a good chance you’re not uploading videos every daymost YouTubers upload about one video a week (which means if you upload twice a week, you already have an edge! :) But what also separates the successful creators from the rest is what they do when they’renotuploading. There’s a lot you can do in your downtime to grow and engage your audience.
COMMENT, COMMENT, COMMENT!
For many YouTubers, only 10\% of daily viewers are subscribers. So there’s a big opportunity to capture the 90\% who haven’t hit that subscribe button. Fans like engagementand replying to their comments is one of the easiest ways to engage.
YouTube’s Community section shows you to all the comments that fans have posted on your videos, and you can now reply to them directly from the page. The simple act of replying to your fans can make them switch from a viewer to a subscriber.
previous post
If your new videos receive many comments, you probablydon’twant toreply to all of them at once. Spread out your replies throughout the week to drive traffic back to your video once views have started to tail off.
CREATE PLAYLISTS
Playlists are one of YouTube’s most powerful, underused features: they not only organize your videos but can also really boost search visibility. So when you’re not promoting your latest video, take some time to sort through your videos and organize them into playlists. Your viewers will appreciate it too!
TWEET, TWEET!
It’s great to push your videos out to social media right when you publish thembut don’t stop there! A single tweet or status update will never reach your full audience, so space out your social media posts throughout the week to reach as many fans as you can.
Many top creators post three uniquely crafted updates over the course of the day. But be sure to to change the text of the updates to avoid repetition! Here’s an example.
Immediately after uploading a few video:
Later in the day:
The following day:
If fans are sharing your video, use that to your advantage! Don’t be afraid to retweet the posts that your fans are sharing. That adds another push to your contentandanother way to engage your fans.
PLAN AHEAD
It’s never too early to plan out new videos. If you leave videos to the last minute, you may end up feeling rushed and coulId miss your upload schedule. Even when you’re not actively planning a new video, be on the lookout for ideas to talk about, especially current trends that are happening throughout the world. Check out ourabout howhow to find and use trends to boost the success of your YouTube content!
Once you have a video in the works and are sure it’ll go live on time, start to get your audience excited about it! Post hints and teasers on yours social media accounts, and make sure to include the date and time that the video will go live.
Now go put that downtime to good use!

View ArticleNo. Earnings from Influencer Plus campaigns are paid out separately from your regular ad-based revenue and do not count toward your $50 threshold.
View ArticleYou’re welcome to submit a Preroll Influencer Plusvideo as public if you like. However, you will not be paid for any public views, and it might be confusing for your audience (since the video itself will run as a preroll ad on your other videos), which is why we recommend uploading the video as unlisted.
View ArticleVideos over 30 seconds will not be approved and you’ll have to edit the video down in order to be accepted into the campaign (YouTube's ad format requires prerolls to be under 30 seconds).
View ArticlePreroll Influencer Plus offers can vary by campaign and by channel, based on the monetized views available on each channel. You will find your individual offer details within the invitation email we send you about each new Preroll campaign or on the campaign page.
View ArticleWe have to track your earnings differentlyfor a Preroll Influencer Plus campaign than we do with other types of campaigns.Unfortunately, the communication we have to arrange with YouTube means we cannot display your earnings in real time. That means you shouldn't see any earnings displayed in My Campaigns when you participate in a Preroll campaign (or you should ignore any earnings figures you do see).
When we coordinate with YouTube to deliver your messages as preroll ads, they track all the preroll views your channel delivers and we only see the results in a report they send us when the campaign ends. We then use this report to calculate what your channel is owed and we’ll email you an earnings report within a week of the campaign ending. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope to display these Preroll earnings more clearly in the future just like your regular Influencer Plusor YouTube ad revenue.
