(formerly, Inverness Medical Innovations Inc.) since 2003. Mr. Mitchell served as General Manager of Applied Biotech, Inc. Mr. Mitchell served as Engineering Manager and then General Manager for Alere Inc., Irish subsidiary, Cambridge Diagnostics Ireland Ltd. during the period 1997 to 2003 and he had roles in engineering at Chiron Diagnostics (now Bayer) in Massachusetts and Baxter Healthcare Ireland. Mr. Mitchell has over 20 years of operational strategy, product development and operations management experience and has held various leadership positions with Rainin Instruments, Alere, Inverness Medical and Chiron Diagnostics. Mr. Mitchell earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
