Mr. Scott Mendel has been the Chief Financial Officer of GenMark Diagnostics, Inc. since May 13, 2014. Mr. Mendel has 25 years of public company financial leadership experience and a proven track record of leading highly-complex, global businesses. Mr. Mendel joined GenMark from Active Network. Mr. Mendel served as the Chief Financial Officer at The Active Network, Inc. since March 2010 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Mendel was responsible for Active Network's corporate finance, accounting and investor relations functions. He joined Active Network from General Electric (GE), where he worked for over 20 years in senior roles that drove financial results. As Chief Financial Officer of GE's Healthcare IT division from March 2003 to March 2010, he led a 150-person global finance function and headed-up the financial due diligence and integration of a $1.2 billion acquisition in 2006. He holds a BS degree in finance from Indiana University and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
