Geotab’s Campus team typically posts internship opportunities four months prior to the internship start date. Geotab has internship openings in nearly every department - the most popular placements are in Data Science and Software Development. Internships vary from 4 to 16 months, and interns are encouraged to apply to Geotab’s full-time positions after graduation.
All new Geotab employees, including students and interns, participate in a 1-week onboarding process where they learn all about Geotab from its employees. The process covers policies, procedures, Geotab product training and overviews of Geotab departments. Mandatory online HR training modules are also incorporated into the first week onboarding period. After the students and interns complete their first week of training, they then join their specific team to learn all the processes and procedures of their new role. Geotab’s interns become full-fledged members of their team, completing important tasks to support their team and Geotab’s business.
Each term, the Geotab’s Campus team schedules a series of learning sessions and networking events for Geotab’s student community. Learning session topics include career management (personal branding, networking skills, resume writing, interviewing, job search strategies) and professional skill development (presentation and public speaking skills, time management & communication) developed in partnership with Geotab’s Learning & Development team.
