Groq Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

In par with the industry standard, flexible work options, benefits and leave policies

Review from Engineering Dept

Strong base compensation and equity participation, as welll as opportunities to access more equity from time to time.

Review from Executive Dept

Fantastic comp, generous options, tipping point fast approaching

Review from Engineering Dept

As stable as can be for a startup.

Review from Engineering Dept

Competitive Base salary compared to market

Review from Sales Dept

Its a very competive compensation package.

Review from HR Dept

I am well taken care of and given incredible flexibility build on trust that enables me to be more effective.

Review from Engineering Dept

We vest equity in a more fair way compared to large organizations that always make you wait 4 years for everything.

Stock that will go up.

Review from Engineering Dept

It's comprehensive and fair and I feel valued and fairly compensated for my work.

Review from HR Dept

Salary, RSUs, Home work allowance, Professional training allowance, Coaching

Review from Engineering Dept

The potential upside case of Groq.

Review from Executive Dept

Sign-on bonus was very nice. And base salary is good.

Review from Engineering Dept

The Pay is very competitive

Review from Engineering Dept

Flexibility in work hours and location.

Review from IT Dept

comparable to industry compensation in bay area

Review from Engineering Dept

Remote work with a solid salary.

Review from Engineering Dept

My salary is the best part of my compensation package followed by paid sick leave and vacation time.

The best part is base pay

Review from Engineering Dept

Higher salary than what I expected for a startup.

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

speed up process in compensation adjustment based on market, performance bonus.

Review from Engineering Dept

Comp adjustments with inflation. I think this is something that folks who've been at Groq longer are more impacted by. Sometimes feels like newer employees are valued more while tenured folks are forgotten.

Review from HR Dept

Market rate for our verticsl

Review from HR Dept

With the official annual inflation rate of 8.6%, indexing the salary to the inflation rate would be the bare minimum.

Review from Engineering Dept

I don't necessarily feel undervalued! I do feel valued by my team. I feel that I could be compensated more monetarily but also understand that the company is a start up so they do have to be cognizant and somewhat frugal sometimes.

Compensation and equity grant is not at part with standard at my level. However, I also know that the company should focus on cash preservation. I can be patient to get that compensation.

Total compensation, specifically the bonus component (cash & stock), is lagging the market.

We need to put a proper incentive plan in place for the sales organization

Review from Sales Dept

There is little appreciation for hardware operations, compared to SWEs for example, also reflecting in comp.

There is no clarity in terms of level, and compensation is way under market value. New hires at Groq are getting better packages. I understand we pay contractor companies a higher price, but I earn even much less than contractors that do not have as much breadth and depth of experience as I do.

Review from Engineering Dept

someone has been dragging their feet on pay increase roll out because of inflation. useful benefits are paltry

Review from Engineering Dept

More frequent adjustments that reflects current market and job role, or a solid explanation why the target is not met.

Review from Engineering Dept

Bonus and market-based compensation for highly experienced employees

Due to information asymmetry I can't be sure of the outcome and so have to chose that I'm not compensated fairly.

Review from Engineering Dept

While base salary is fair, total compensation is lacking due to the lack of annual stock grants/bonus, 401k matching, discounted ESPP.

Review from Sales Dept

I often find myself doing work outside my role and would like my level and comp to be adjusted accordingly.

Review from HR Dept

No raise or new equity

Review from Marketing Dept

Market has changed last year. New opportunities presented have very different paying package now.

Review from Engineering Dept

Some of the benefits are not competitive. No 401k match, no bonus and limited stock options

Review from Engineering Dept

It feels like my experience level is undervalues compared to similar jobs in the industry. Better RSU and better base pay could help.
