Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at Guidewire Software

Guidewire recognizes the importance of a healthy planet for our employees, customers, and communities. Climate change poses significant risks to our collective future and motivates us to act. As a global company with more than 20 offices across the world, we will do this by continuing to reduce our environmental footprint by minimizing waste and energy consumption while increasing the amount of renewable energy we consume; measuring and reducing our emissions; optimizing the performance of our buildings through the application of green building standards in office design, construction, and operation.

Environmental Sustainability

Guidewire is committed to setting goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that align with climate science as part of our environmental roadmap to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. We will continue to evaluate ways to reduce our emissions through energy efficiency, travel reduction initiatives, renewable energy purchasing, sustainable procurement, and additional efforts. We will also implement plans to engage our employees by establishing a Green team.

Community Impact and Philanthropy

Through our Guidewire Gives Back platform on Benevity, we empower our employees to donate and volunteer for causes important to them. We support them by providing up to three days volunteer time off (VTO) per year; making a $100 donation per VTO day taken to their cause of choice; matching employees' charitable donations up to USD$1,000 per fiscal year; providing a global database of volunteer and donation opportunities that employees can sign up for; and enabling employees to create their own volunteer and fundraising events and invite team members to join them.
