Team first, camaraderie, mission orientated, representative and collaborative.

It is a great group of people who firmly believe in what they are doing and always support their team members
Tranparenancy and honesty. Leading values and ethics.
Humility. Mission driven. Diverse experiences.
Very open and approachable folks.
listen to your employees? yall literally have no idea what is going on but manage to make the workflows worse for us
Living values, instead of just talking about them.

Benefits honestly I also got hired during the pandemic so my pay is higher
The best part of my compensation package is the health and vision Insurance
100% healthcare paid by company.
Benefits - in my role there is a lot of flexibility as long as you are doing the role well. Not the same in every dept though
Equity is definitely the best part but I joined early.
Pay raises that keep with inflation. Equity that acknowledges how horrible the market value is. Refreshers that make it worth it to stay more than 3 years.
Getting paid more would be nice
Overtime work is basically mandatory and there is little acknowledgement of the impact people make trying as hard as they can to succeed.

-No vacation time. Don't be fooled by the "unlimited" vacation time. You will never get it. You will work, work, work, and wonder when that vacation time is coming, and then it will be back to work, work, work. - Your job description will not be what you are doing.
Getting paid market rates or offer better equity. Today, you're not doing either.
They have great work ethic and they believe in the mission.
Coworkers try their best to assist each other with over whelming workloads
Everyone is nice and humble
We are very focused on winning as a unit
A highly supportive team, ready to jump in on any duties that are pending and assist when needed.
Imagine the upper-class high school "clique." That is what Gusto is.
Encouragement by others and help when needed
The company's values is about caring, but them company doesn't care about you, or the customers
Gusto's mission is to provide an atmosphere where work empowers a better life
Disagree and commit is important to me and seems to be supported in each team I've been on.
- Transparent - Consistent - Not adverse to change - Caring - Thoughtful - Fun - Competitive - Impactful - Supportive - Fun
Trust the people you employ
Remember why they named managers "People Empowerers" and actually create opportunities for impact instead of directing people whose work you don't even really understand.
actually focus on making this product better, lay your employees market value, and either train management properly or get rid of som of them? we literally have PEs (people empowerers) who have PEPEs - which is both comical and pointless, especially when you factor in them being completely useless
Significantly increase pay in correspondence with what the actual workload is.
It's very thoughtful and it's the best candidate experience I've ever had.

It was easy, but that also means a lot of bad management gets hired.
it seemed great at first - coworkers and PE set me up on a false promise though. recruiting manager that reached out was rude as hell though.
Variety of folks from all over the company and cross functional partners I'd be working with were all involved.
It was fun and the managers made it very comfortable
Misrepresented scope of role and expectations
Actually hire people who would benefit from the Gusto product, and not upper-class know-it-alls.
Helping, legitimately helping. Adding value and solving problems.
Review from HR Dept
I worked remotely and appreciated the flexibility it gave me.
Flexibility, no pressure at work, life and work balance
The folks I work with and the mission I am dedicated to.
Everyone is great and management is very understanding and does not micromanage.
Spend more time understanding what the issues are and working to fix them
Remove a lot of the executive staff, particularly in the Data Org. They are huge blockers.
there is not enough transparency on what we can and cant do for customers. also the website is confusing as hell. just be honest and stop trying to churn and burn.
Overall working at Gusto is depressing. Most people are acting happy but are deeply afraid and will stab you in the back. Many leaders are obviously oblivious or are narcissists taking advantage of the CEO. So difficult to experience such a terrible work culture.
Review from HR Dept
There are no clear expectations at this company. Those who are "popular" (think high-school) do well, while others get all of the busy work.
Mission and values are rooted in everything we do at the company.
