Richard Hope — Managing Director at Hamilton Lane

Mr. Richard Hope serves as a Managing Director at Hamilton Lane Advisors. He is also serves as Manageing Direector at Hamilton Lane Incorporated. Mr. Hope leads the firm's secondaries and co-investment activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He was Principal of Fund Investment Team and previously also served as the Vice President of Fund Investment Team. He joined the firm in 2011. Mr. Hope served as the Investor Director of Rapid Mobile Media Limited and Lab901 Limited. During that time, he was actively involved in making and managing investments and has represented client funds in board level meetings and discussions. Mr. Hope worked for more than four years as a Director with Alliance Trust Equity Partners, where he helped establish a private equity fund investment business and build out a portfolio of European private equity Fund investments. He was an Associate Director at Amati Global Investors Ltd. and Noble Fund Managers Ltd. He was responsible for making venture and growth capital investments. Mr. Hope worked with Noble Group since October 2000 and previously worked as an Investment Executive and a Portfolio Manager at Eastern Scotland Investments and Strathclyde Investment Fund. Prior to joining Noble, he worked in Corporate Finance with Scott Moncrieff CA. He served as a Director of Rapid Mobile Media Ltd. He served as Director of Ranier Technology Limited. Mr. Hope has over nine years experience in private equity including a blend of venture capital and quoted equity and debt investments. Mr. Hope completed B.Com. from University of Edinburgh.
