Joe B. Thornton Jr. — Vice Chairman and President at HFF

Mr. Joe B. Thornton, Jr., also known as Jody, has been the President of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P. since April 1, 2014 and HFF Securities L.P. since April 1, 2014. Mr. Thornton has been the President of HFF, Inc. since April 1, 2014. He serves as Executive Managing Director in the Dallas office of HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P.). He served as Managing Member of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P. He served as Executive Managing Director of HFF Holdings, LLC since 2003. He has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, including investment sales, debt, equity, structured finance and loan servicing. In his career, he has executed real estate transactions in excess of $13 billion. Mr. Thornton joined HFF's predecessor firm, Holliday Fenoglio Inc., in March 1992. He has held several senior positions with the firm, including Board Member and Principal. Prior to HFF, he served as Senior Vice President of The Joyner Mortgage Company, Inc., where he was responsible for the origination of commercial mortgage and equity transactions and a Senior Accountant with the Audit Division of Peat Marwick Mitchel & Co. He has been a Vice Chairman of HFF, Inc. since November 2006. He has been a Director of HFF, Inc. since November 2006. He has been Director of HFF Holdings, LLC. since November 2006. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting in 1982. Mr. Thornton is a licensed Real Estate Salesman in the State of Texas and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status).
