Philip B. Mahler — Managing Director of National Healthcare Practice Group at HFF

Mr. Philip B. Mahler, also known as Phil, has been the Managing Director of National Healthcare Practice Group at HFF, Inc. Mr. Mahler is a Member of HFF's national healthcare practice and focuses on healthcare capital markets and investment sale transactions throughout the United States. He has 22 years of commercial real estate experience and most recently worked with Savills LLC as a Managing Director in its medical office group. He served as Vice President of Savills LLC since 2003. During his 10 years with Savills, he was involved in more than $6.0 billion of medical office transactions totaling approximately 33.5 million square feet of product. Previously, he worked in the Real Estate Advisory Services practice group at Ernst & Young where he focused on healthcare and corporate real estate and capital re-deployment strategies, including asset and portfolio sales, sale/leaseback transactions, as well as equity and debt placements, CMBS loan due diligence and business process improvement projects. Prior to joining E&Y, Mr. Mahler worked for UBS Realty Investors LLC (formerly Allegis Realty Investors) in the Asset Management Department and Prologis Trust (formerly Security Capital Industrial Trust) where he focused on acquisition, disposition and development transactions. He also worked at Wells Fargo Bank. He is a frequent panelist at BOMA, Interface events and Cap Rate events, among others. Mr. Mahler is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors degree in Finance.
