My overall experience has been very positive. I've only been here less than a year, but I don't have anything negative to report (as long as we work towards ESPP, 401(k) match, leveling of pay, and refresh).

My overall experience is very positive. We operate like a startup...lots of loose ends, trying to fix things, and making progress.

Leadership is super enthusiastic! Great energy!
What makes you most happy at work?
I love my team. Love hiring great people! I like feedback - both positive and negative. I'm making progress!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is working on all cylinders. We are all committed and try to stay positive, supporting each other, even during stressful times.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't feel undervalued. I would feel better if I was paid at market rate + bonus, or if Bonus/RSUs made up for the gap in pay...
What are some of the best things about your team?
I love my team. Smart, dedicated, they get things done, they care about me and the team, we work together well, and we are all super committed to Hippo!
What are some of the best things about your team?
I have THE BEST Team...my small recruiting pod, and the rest of the TA team are great. Talented, honest, driven, and committed. The best team I've ever worked with!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Most companies have a target cash bonus...we do not. Base is still a bit low (but I was told it would be leveled once we went public...and now we are public).
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Management seems very transparent and wants to do the right thing...I really like that. Also, personality fit for the team, in all departments, seems important...and I think that is VERY important for a good culture!
What makes you most happy at work?
I love my team, I have great hiring managers I work with, and I like the commitment of the CEO and senior management to do the right thing for the direction of the company and its employees.

I love the passion of Assaf. The leadership team seems totally committed to the company and our mission. I like that the company is trying to do "the right thing" with regard to stock, refresh, salary increase, ESPP, and moving towards a match...
