Mr. Greg Pavlik has been Chief Development Officer of Hortonworks, Inc. since June 2017 and served as its Chief Product Officer since November 6, 2015 until June 2017 and Vice President of Engineering from March 2012 to November 6, 2015. Mr. Pavlik was responsible for ensuring the success of Hortonworks' product development and engineering activities, growing a world-class engineering team and delivering an enterprise-ready data platform powered by Apache Hadoop. Mr. Pavlik has more than 15 years working experience in the distributed systems, middleware and real-time analytics markets and he is a proven software engineering management expertise. Before working at Oracle, Mr. Pavlik was the Principal Architect for the Java middleware division at Hewlett Packard. Previously, he worked at Bluestone Software on Java Application Server middleware. Mr. Pavlik holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.
