Executive Bio

Mr. Matthew J. Morgan, also known as Matt, has been Chief Marketing Officer at Druva Inc. since February 2017 and oversees all marketing strategy and operations. Mr. Morgan has a 20 year Silicon Valley history, leading marketing strategy and execution at cloud, SaaS and big data businesses. Mr. Morgan is a 22-year industry veteran, joined Citrix in 2013 from Hewlett-Packard, where he has spent the three years as vice president of IT management and cloud product marketing for HP Software. His tenure includes almost a decade at Mercury Interactive, where he served as the Director of Product Marketing for a $740 Million product category including Mercury's Quality Management and Performance Management products. In this role, Mr. Morgan drove the teams that created and launched many net-new products, including Mercury Functional Testing, Mercury Business Process Testing, new versions of Mercury QuickTest Professional and WinRunner and the Mercury SAP and Oracle Test Accelerators for BPT. Mr. Morgan served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Hortonworks, Inc. since October 6, 2016. Mr. Morgan served as Vice President of Product Marketing at Hortonworks, Inc. from June 1, 2015 to October 6, 2016. Mr. Morgan served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Blueprint Software Systems Inc. Mr. Morgan is responsible for all aspects of Blueprint's corporate marketing, product marketing and strategic alliances. He was Vice President of Product Marketing at Citrix Systems and was in charge of global product marketing for all of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based vendor's product lines. Mr. Morgan helped drive Citrix's push into enterprise mobility with products such as Workspace Suite, its bundle of desktop virtualization, mobile device management and collaboration software. In his early days at Mercury, he built and managed one of Mercury's first pre-sales organizations in the Southeast United States, supporting a $45M territory of large enterprise license sales into the Fortune 500. Mr. Morgan managed an IT development team in the Business Markets segment of MCI Telecommunications and started his career as a software engineer at Minolta QMS. Mr. Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of South Alabama.
