Scott J. Davidson — CFO & COO at Hortonworks

Mr. Scott J. Davidson has been the Chief Financial Officer of Hortonworks, Inc. (Hortonworks Software) since April 2014 and has been its Chief Operating Officer since July 18, 2017. Mr. Davidson served as the Chief Financial Officer at BakBone Software Incorporated since 2007 and serves as its Senior Vice President. Mr. Davidson has been Chief Financial Officer of BlueFolder, Inc. since 2007 and serves as its Senior Vice President. Mr. Davidson is a well-recognized leader with more than 20 years of financial and business experience in both private and public high technology companies. Mr. Davidson serves as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Symlabs, S.A. since October 2007, Treasurer since 2002 and also served as its Senior Vice President. He joined BlueFolder, Inc. in 2002 as Treasurer. Mr. Davidson served as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President and Treasurer at Dell Software, Inc. His responsibilities have included worldwide treasury and investment operations, SEC reporting, investor relations and risk management. He served as Director of Corporate Treasury and Investor Relations of Citrix Systems Inc. He served in finance related roles within Precision Response Corp (PRC) and the United States Treasury. Before his software-focused career, he was a National Bank Examiner with the United States Department of Treasury - Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He serves as Director of Bomgar Corporation. Mr. Davidson holds a BS in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the University of Miami.
