Scott Adelson — Co-President, Global Co-Head of Corporate Finance & Director at Houlihan Lokey

Mr. Scott J. Adelson has been the Co-President of Houlihan Lokey, Inc. since April 17, 2013 and also serves as its Senior Managing Director, Co-Head of Corporate Finance. Mr. Adelson also directs Houlihan Lokey's Western Region activities, leads its M&A and Financing practice nationwide and is responsible for its national marketing effort. His practice embraces all aspects of corporate finance including mergers and acquisition, leveraged buyouts and the issuance of debt and equity capital. He has experience in over $30 billion worth of transactions. During his 15 years with Houlihan Lokey, he has advised over 350 companies including such notable firms as Callaway Golf Corp., Inc., LaBrea Bakery, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Qualcomm Incorporated, Science Applications International Corp. and The Wolfgang Puck Food Company. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, he has been a serial entrepreneur founding four companies in various industries. He has been a Director at Houlihan Lokey, Inc since 2000. Mr. Adelson has been an Independent Director of Qad Inc. since April 19, 2006. He has been an Lead Independent Director of Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. and its Independent Director since April 11, 2008. He has guest lectured at various universities and symposiums and written extensively on a variety of corporate finance and securities valuation subjects and is a regular commentator on CNBC, CNN and various business publications, including Business Week. He is an active board member of various middle-market businesses as well as recognized non-profit organizations such as the USC Entrepreneur Program and is licensed with the NASD as General Securities Registered Representative (Series 7, 63). He received an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and completed his Bachelors degree at the University of Southern California.
