Compensation is made at the whim of the manager. There is no science or methodology behind it.
IBM underpays most of its younger employees
If you meet certain performance levels you should get some incentive which is not the case

IBM has grown accustom to laying people off when the going gets tough. I have lost many colleagues in the past three years simply due to numbers during the last Resource Actions
