What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Icarus Jet?
The aviation industry never sleeps, and sales is a demanding job which can be stressful at times
I wish I would've known how stressful the job can become and how fast. One second during the day it is very slow and the next you are full speed ahead. But even though you must work fast, you must do so with a clear and focused mind.

The president and CEO at Icarus Jet. He told me that day that I had the Job.
How would you compare interviewing at Icarus Jet to other places you've interviewed?
It was probably the most serious in terms of the job, but also the most relaxed an informal in regards to the whole process.

As it is the aviation industry, there is always something going on. But being able to work anywhere as long as you have internet is a plus and makes working flexible. Also having an international team allows us to take over for each other at different points in the day.
In this industry of private jet charter, you are constantly working. There is not necessarily a set schedule of when to work and when not to work.
How do I do well in an interview at Icarus Jet?
Be honest, sincere, and forthcoming. Be confident and direct with what your hopes, expectations, concerns and questions are. Just like interview, let us know what you can bring to table and why you would be a great asset for Icarus Jet.
Be yourself. Tell a story that can help relate yourself, in someway, to the interviewer. Act in a professional manor and know that this job is not a cake walk all the time. It is very versatile and very stressful, and you must be able to cope with it. Understand that some nights you won't sleep
What's the internship program like at Icarus Jet?
The internship program at Icarus Jet is a very hand-on and intuitive experience. In a short period of time you will gain incredible knowledge into the aviation and charter industry. At the same time you will gain valuable career, networking, and business experience. There is work to be done, I'll say that. This is more like an actual job than an internship, and the pay is great. The team is very close knit and are supportive and helpful. We are an international company so you will get experience in dealing with clients and colleagues from all over the world. I can truly say that I could not have had a better internship experience than I did at Icarus Jet.
When I first joined, I was very eager to learn the business and be apart of this company. Regardless of my eagerness, I quickly realized I was asked to do things that I had no idea how to do and there was no clear guidance to learning procedures. Regardless of there not being a clear procedure or guide to the business, I was able to pick up on protocols fairly quickly. This job can become very stressful very quickly and I do not believe that upper management made that any better. We all know the stress of this business, but additional stress and tension from upper management do not make it any better. It causes mistakes to be made and minds to be flustered. I have seen other operations work, and it is not like this. However, I do believe that I have the support of upper management on the things that I do. Sometimes, I do not feel that I am free to say what I think when I disagree with upper management because I know how they will react.

Tough to say as I truly like the culture here. Maybe just more guidelines and direction in how we operate and what all our job requirements are.
What do people at Icarus Jet think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Genuinely like him, and we are all on great terms with him constantly communicating and often engaging in friendly conversation. They are a good leader and figure head, but can improve some impulsiveness and levelheadedness
How's the work life balance at Icarus Jet?
It can be a little unbalanced at times and get some getting used, mostly because of how the industry operates constantly. You have to work on it to get a good balance, but it is definitely possible.
