Overall, definitely significantly more good than bad. I've been offered positions at other companies for increased pay, but the totality of the "package" wouldn't have added up to the value IMEG provides.

At the end of the day, and at this point in my career, you have to go to work to make ends meet... might as well do it at a place you enjoy working at and with your coworkers and that offers the benefits and flexibility allowed here.

Values the input and concerns of employees and clients.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with coworkers and clients. Striving to meet the goals of a project and seeing projects completed successfully.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Good mix of young engineers/staff and seasoned veterans. There is strong and healthy engagement between the old and young.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Continuously reaching out to staff requesting input and feedback. They act on results of surveys to try and address employee concerns.
What makes you most happy at work?
I really enjoy the ability to set my own schedule, and the freedom to chose my work from home and in-office days.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
When the total compensation package is taken into consideration, it's very complete and competitive (typically going beyond) what you might see at another similar firm.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Proactively engage with all team members on a regular basis via quarterly corporate download meetings and regularly scheduled calls with the President. Also consistently follow through on the plans and updates they discuss.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
For the most part, the company trusts that each employee is doing their part and there is not an overt level of "seagull management" or strict oversight. Do your part and get rewarded.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our particular team has been together for a long time and as such are more than just coworkers. Although we don't get together much outside of work, during the workday we interact and talk about much more than just "the job".
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I could probably make more money somewhere else, but the overall benefits and perks keep me satisfied. I especially enjoy the work place and schedule flexibility and ability to work from home. Healthcare, PTO, Short Term Disability and similar benefits are on par with other large MEPs.
