Very poor vibe, company is in troubled times, and people are just trying to keep their jobs. Far too much politics, and very little real leadership.

Leadership in general at IV is pretty poor. There is far more politics than business development activity.

There is very little actual business development effort at IV. The business is all about intellectual property, with an emphasis on licensing. The other factor to consider, is the fact that the NPE business model has been under attack, and the company is in distress.

Like quite a few companies, when hard times hit it either brings out the best, or worst in people. Unfortunately, the latter is true for IV. If anyone has ever watched House of Cards, IV's environment is a microcosm of this type of office politics and backstabbing.
